Sean developed a passion for food at a tender age when at 15 he worked in the kitchens at The Olive Branch, washing up pots and generally helping out – 15 years later he bought the pub!
Sean studied catering at Stamford College, which was then followed by training at the renowned Hambleton Hall Hotel. Followed by time at The Feathers at Woodstock, Longueville Manor in Jersey, and The Criterion in London. Sean then returned to Hambleton Hall as Sous Chef, where he met up Ben and Marcus again and with whom he went on to buy and renovate The Olive Branch pub in Clipsham in 1999.
Sean has held a Michelin Star at The Olive Branch since 2002, and now heads up a team of young local chefs in both kitchens at The Red Lion Inn (AA Pub of the Year 2006) and at The Olive Branch, (Michelin Pub of the Year 2008). Sean is passionate about using local produce and spends a great deal of time talking to local suppliers to source the quality and freshness of the foods he wishes to feature in his menus.
Sean is married with two daughters and a motorbike !
