OLIVE BRANCH & BEECH HOUSE, CLIPSHAM BOOKING TERMS
In these terms:
“We”, “Us”, “Our” means The Rutland Inn Company Limited;
“You”, “Your” means the person who is making a booking or for whom a booking is made.
1.1 All prices shown on the Website, on tariffs, or in correspondence are in pounds Sterling. Beech House rooms are shown per room per night based on single occupancy of a single room or two people sharing a twin or double room for one night or for two or more consecutive nights (as applicable). In Our family room, the price will be based on one/two people or three/four people sharing as appropriate. All prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate.
1.2 The Beech House price includes a single, double or twin room (as applicable), en suite shower/bathroom, TV, direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, breakfast and car parking for one vehicle. Unless We agree otherwise, the price does not include other items, for which You will be charged separately and will be required to pay for prior to Your departure. If You fail to pay for any such additional items prior to Your departure, You irrevocably authorise Us to debit your credit card or debit card for that amount.
1.3 We reserve the right to change Our prices without notice before You receive Our email confirming Your booking. We will not increase Our prices after We have confirmed Your booking,
2.1 All bookings, and any changes that you wish to make to Your booking, are subject to availability.
2.2 In the event of circumstances beyond Our control (including but not limited to Act of God, fire, loss of electricity, water or gas supply, strike, civil unrest) which prevent Us from providing You with a room after We have confirmed Your booking, We will use all reasonable endeavours to find suitable alternative accommodation at another location for You but shall not be liable if this is not possible.
2.3 Your Beech House rooms will be held for You until 10 am in the morning following the first night of Your booking after which time Your booking will be deemed to be cancelled and the room will be reallocated.
3 Cancelling or changing Your booking
3.1 You may cancel or change Your booking without charge if You notify Us by email not less than 1 week before the date of Your arrival.
3.2 If You cancel Your booking before the scheduled day of Your arrival You must notify Us by email. If we are unable to re-let the room We reserve the right to charge You 100% of the price payable for Your room for cancelling or changing the booking and will re-credit the balance to Your credit card or debit card within 7 days of cancellation.
3.3 If You cancel Your booking on the day of Your scheduled arrival or You do not arrive and do not notify Us of Your cancellation, We reserve the right to charge You the full rate for Your booking.
3.4 Although We will use every effort to maintain the arrangements that are booked, We must reserve the right to change or cancel Your booking. Where We have to make a change to Your booking (such as changing the date(s) of Your stay or the number and/or type(s) of rooms to be provided to You) or cancel Your booking, We will notify You by email or telephone as soon as possible. You may then either (as applicable):
(a) accept the changes to Your booking and proceed with Your stay on the dates originally booked; or
(b) accept Our offer of an alternative booking of equivalent standard on different dates from those You originally booked but at the same price (or if the price of the alternative arrangements is lower, We shall refund You the difference.); or
(c) cancel Your booking or accept Our cancellation, in which case You will receive a full refund of the payment that You have made to Us in respect of Your booking as at the date of cancellation.
We shall have no further liability to You in respect of the change to or cancellation of Your booking.
4.1 Please see the Tariff page for children’s rates.
4.2 All persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
5 Dogs and other pets
Dogs (other than guide and hearing dogs) and other pets are permitted in Our ground floor rooms only and with Our prior consent in Beech House and in the bar only at The Olive Branch. Pets must not be left unattended at any time.
6 Arrival and departure
6.1 Beech House Rooms are available from 3pm on the day of Your arrival.
6.2 You must vacate the bedrooms by 10.30 am on the day of Your departure or by such other time as We may notify You. If You fail to vacate the room at the specified time We reserve the right to charge the rate for a further night’s stay.
7 During Your stay
7.1 The Olive Branch & Beech House is a non-smoking hotel an pub. Smoking is not permitted in any part of the premises.
7.2 In the interests of the comfort, wellbeing and safety of Our other guests and the safety and wellbeing of Our employees, if You fail to comply with Our requests to modify what We regard as unacceptable behaviour, We reserve the right to terminate Your booking without notice, without refund and without incurring any liability to You and require You to leave Our premises immediately. If We take such action, We reserve the right (if applicable) to charge You a proportionate amount for the length of Your stay.
7.3 You will be responsible for paying for any breakages or other damage caused to the décor and fixtures, fittings and furnishings in the rooms and elsewhere in the Olive Branch caused by You or any member of Your group during Your stay. If such damage occurs You irrevocably authorise Us to debit an appropriate amount from Your credit card or debit card.
8.1 We shall not be liable to You for any loss or damage suffered by You as a result of any delay or failure in performing Our obligations under the Contract which are the result of any circumstances beyond Our control, including but not limited to those circumstances listed in clause 2.2 above.
8.2 We accept no liability for theft of, or from, or damage to vehicles parked on Our premises.
8.3 Except for death or personal injury, Our liability for any damage or loss suffered by You during Your stay as a result of Our negligence is limited to the total price of Your booking.
8.4 Nothing in these Terms attempts, or is to be deemed to be an attempt, to exclude or limit Our liability for the death or personal injury of any person caused by Our negligence or that of Our negligence or that of Our employees or agents or to otherwise attempt to exclude or limit Our liability otherwise than as permitted by law.
8.5 Except where We are liable for damage or loss under clause 8.3 above, You will indemnify Us and keep Us indemnified from and against any and all liability, claims, proceedings, damages, costs or expenses that We incur in connection with Your booking.
