Thursday 16 April

Get in the mood for St George’s Day (April 23)...

with a Great British Cookery Demonstration and Lunch at The Olive Branch.

The morning begins at 10am with coffee in The Barn, before Head Chef Dean Carroll presents a two-hour live cookery demonstration showcasing a classic British menu, created to mark St George’s Day.

Dean will demonstrate how to prepare an Olive Branch prawn cocktail, followed by Beef Wellington with fondant potato, glazed carrot and red wine sauce. To finish, he’ll reveal the techniques behind a Strawberry & Elderflower Eton Mess with strawberry sorbet. Along the way, Dean will share practical tips, time-saving techniques and advice you can use in your own kitchen.

After the demonstration, guests sit down together to enjoy the same three-course menu, freshly prepared by Dean and his team. Lunch is served in The Barn, accompanied by a complimentary glass of wine.

Each guest leaves with a copy of the menu, recipes and notes, so you can recreate the dishes at home.

A relaxed, informative and enjoyable way to celebrate St George’s Day — and pick up new skills along the way.
