Which wines would you take to a desert island?!

On this special evening in May, Olive Branch co-founder and wine supplier Marcus Welford will present a handpicked selection of his all-time favourite wines – the bottles he would take with him if stranded on a desert island (with a good cellar and a well-stocked kitchen!).

From crisp whites to characterful reds, with a must-have rosé and a playful sparkling dessert wine to finish, each wine will be paired with a seasonal dish and introduced by Marcus, who will share the reasons behind each choice.

Expect great food, good company and lively conversation about the wines you’d pack for your own desert island.

The evening starts in The Barn at 7pm when guests can meet and mingle. At 7.30, we all sit down for dinner around The Barn table, with wines accompanying each course.

On the night, Marus will guide us through the wines, explaining the different styles and winemaking methods that make each wine so different and special.

It is best to have booked a taxi home. However, you are welcome to leave your car here overnight or book one of our six luxurious rooms at Beech House.

You will have an enjoyable evening with good food, great wines and convivial company, and hopefully, you will have learned something about the magic of wine.
