Muscadet sur lie 2021, Château de La Gravelle, Loire, France

Charming aromas of ripe pears, honey and apple, blossom, lemons on the palate, refreshing acidity. Match with some smoked salmon and begin the merriment.

Blend - 100% Muscadet grape variety which regionally also known as Melon de Bourgogne

Producer - Bernard Chéreau, son of a winegrower in Monnières, decided to cultivate his own vineyard. In contrast to an era dominated by bulk distribution in large quantities, his efforts demonstrate that high quality production is appreciated by a targeted and exclusive clientele among restaurateurs, wine merchants and individuals. This success enabled him to acquire the Château du Coing in 1973.
Today, it is his daughter, Véronique Günther-Chéreau, passionate about authenticity, who makes this estate an emblematic property for all lovers of this wine: Muscadet with local flavours. Since 2010, Véronique's daughter, Aurore, a graduate of oenology, has joined us in this adventure.

This property, located in the town of Gorges in the heart of the vineyards of Nantes, Loire, is one of the oldest properties of the vineyard of Muscadet. It totalled formerly 300 hectares which were fragmented following the wars of Vendée. This property extends on a hill of 17 ha with at its windy climate typical of the Nantes region.

Alcohol percentage – 12%
